Privacy notice

What we do with your data.

This site collects the minimum needed to answer an enquiry. It runs no analytics, sets no cookies and shares nothing with advertisers.

Who is responsible

Occam Labs is the data controller for personal data submitted through this website. For any question about this notice, or to exercise the rights described below, contact alain@occamlabs.io.

What we collect

Only what you type into the enquiry form: your name, business email address, organisation (optional), the topic you select, and your message. The form also records which page you submitted it from, so we know what you were reading.

We do not use analytics, tracking pixels or advertising cookies. The site sets no cookies of its own. Fonts are served from this domain rather than a third-party CDN, so loading a page does not disclose your visit to anyone else.

Why we can use it

We process this data on the basis of legitimate interest — responding to a business enquiry you initiated. We do not use it for marketing, we do not add you to a mailing list, and we do not run automated sales sequences.

Who else sees it

Form submissions are delivered through Formspree, a form-processing service, which handles the message in transit and applies spam filtering. Formspree operates from the United States, so your submission is transferred outside the UK and EEA under the safeguards described in their privacy policy. Delivered messages are then held in our email system.

Nobody else receives your data. We do not sell it, and we do not share it with subcontractors or partners.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not lead to work are deleted within 12 months. Where an enquiry becomes an engagement, correspondence is retained for the duration of the engagement and for six years afterwards to meet contractual and tax record-keeping obligations.

Your rights

You may ask us for a copy of the data we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict how we use it, or to object to our using it at all. Email alain@occamlabs.io and we will respond within 30 days. There is no charge.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, or to the supervisory authority in your country of residence.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS with a strict content security policy. The enquiry form applies input length limits and a honeypot field, and Formspree provides server-side spam filtering. No payment or special-category data is collected through this site, and none should be sent through the form.

Changes

If this notice changes materially we will update the date above. Substantive changes will not be applied retroactively to data already collected.
